THE ROLE OF THE MANAGER
Training Sessions
•	Book the fields	•	Organise the equipment required
Pre-Match
•	Establish which change room has been allocated	•	Hang players jerseys on hooks
•	Inform players of time and change room	•	Provide ice, strapping and first aid kit
•	Locate referee and find out if he wants to toss and if he requires a boot inspection	•	Check where coaches and reserves sit
•	Check warm up area	•	Organise transport and advise players
•	Water and energy drink to condition
Immediately prior to match
•	Strapping	• Ensure reserves have jerseys
•	Players change	• Spare shorts
•	Team return to dressing room and coach and captain give final address	• Look after players valuables
•	Players run on to field	• Lock dressing room
Half Time
• Water and energy drink available		• Prepare dressing room
After Match
•	Prepare Ice baths	• Return players valuables
•	Thank Referee	• Phone results to Club Secretary
•	Thank opposition players and Management	• See to insurance claims if necessary
•	Take injured players to clinic if necessary	• Ensure all kit is packed away
