The MyPlayers organisation is driven by rugby players for rugby players. Their benevolent fund aims to make a difference across the country by donating funds which are set aside from the players’ commercial income.

On 4 February 2016, Nizaam Carr and Siya Kolisi represented the MyPlayers organisation when a donation of R50 000 was handed over to the Fund’s Chairman, Morné du Plessis. This is the 3rd year that the Fund has been selected as a beneficiary of a portion of the funds raised by the players, which illustrates the commitment felt to their fallen brothers.

MyPlayers is the official organisation of the professional rugby players in South Africa. It is 100% owned by the players, with them playing an active role in the leadership of the association and responsible for deciding on its vision, mission and general strategy.

The vision of the organisation is to strive towards making rugby a premier world sport by managing the collective interests of players in a professional and effective manner. Values of support, appreciation, respect and integrity were all shown as the generous cheque was handed over.

The Players’ Fund is incredibly grateful for this support and will be partnering MyPlayers in the years to come.
